Shanghai museum
The Shanghai museum was founded in 1953 and was first open to the public in the former Shanghai Racecourse house, now at 326 West Nanjing Road Shanghai,as a museum of Chinese art, Shanghai Museum provides a collection of over 1500,000 objects, about 130,000 of which are great national-graded works of art. Its rich and first class quality collection of ancient bronze, painting and calligraphy is specially honored in the whole world.
The museum is divided into 7 galleries and 3 impressive exhibition halls. All of Galleries include the major categories of Chinese art: such as Ancient Bronze, Ceramics, Paintings, Ancient Sculpture, Jade, ancient Furniture and Minority Nationalities.
